Street

Street Photography for me ends up being more of a meditation than a photographic outing for me. I love the challenge when shooting in the street of trying to envision the situation I am about to enter, and setting up my tool (the camera) for that scenario. This allows me to immerse myself in the surroundings and capture the environment around me unimpeded. Although these days I shoot mostly on a Leica Digital Camera when it comes to street, a good portion of these images are shot on film. My current favorite film street rig is my 1949 Rolleiflex 3.5X with cross processed slide film. I also have used a range of Leica cameras in both film and digital that I’ve used over the years for street photography.
