Why put your camera away after golden hour? When the sun goes down, you have an incredible opportunity to create unique images that you will be proud to share.
As long as you have a basic understanding of shutter speed, ISO and aperture, this course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to create stunning images at night and take your landscape and cityscapes to a new level.
What we will cover in the classroom:
•How to compose, focus and find your exposure in the dark • Using existing light and painting with light • Planning a trip or night photography excursion • Tips and tricks to create effects in your images.

Night and Blue Hour Photography Workshop – Lecture and Hands-on Shooting at South Lake Union Park

Saturday, July 12 | 9:30pm – 11:30pm

Don’t put your camera away after the sun sets! Join us at South Lake Union Park during the blue hour, where Brian will help you discover interesting compositions based on his years of experience doing urban night photography. This is a great opportunity to put your newfound knowledge into practice. As night falls, the environment transforms with lights and reflections, turning ordinary structures into unique and captivating subjects. * The lecture portion is a prerequisite for joining the workshop.

What you will need:
•Camera with the ability to take a 15-30 second exposure
•A sturdy tripod & extra battery
• Weather-appropriate clothing
*Workshop attendees should have taken the prerequisite lecture and have a good working knowledge of their camera and basic photography knowledge.
